DMC, hailing from Hollis, Queens, founded the iconic hip-hop group Run-DMC in 1983 alongside Joseph Simmons (Rev. Run) and Jason Mizell. Regarded as one of the most influential acts in the history of hip-hop culture, the group pioneered new school hip-hop music and was among the first to highlight the importance of the MC and DJ relationship. Forty years, forty million record sales and half a billion song streams later, DMC still continues to create, inspire and motivate. In 2009, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2016 he received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy. In addition to his continuing impactful work as a musical artist and producer, DMC is also a critically acclaimed author, philanthropist and founder of the nonprofit The Felix Foundation, an Advisory Board Member for Hip Hop Public Health. A native of Yonkers, New York, Jadakiss is known for his distinctive gravelly voice and unflinching hardcore rhymes. He established himself with Bad Boy and Ruff Ryders affiliates, the LOX, before a solo career with Ruff Ryders and Def Jam featuring many top 10 solo albums including 2001’s debut Kiss tha Game Goodbye. The “King of Verzuz” and three-time GRAMMY nominee has appeared in over 18 movies, is co-owner of Juices for Life, the CEO of SORASPY, and is currently collaborating with Fanmire and Barcode.
